Each of our can designs carries a nod to legendary racing circuits around the world, places that have defined motorsport history and shaped Richard’s own incredible journey behind the wheel.
Driven by Design
Like all our brews, Crystal Palace carries a story. Named after the legendary Crystal Palace motor racing circuit in South London, it celebrates a place that once roared with speed and style. From hosting non-Championship F1 races to the very first London Grand Prix in 1937, the track was a hub of adrenaline until it's closure in 1974.
Driver safety was becoming a focus in the early seventies, and it became clear that racing around a park at 100 mph was not safe. Expensive improvements were undertaken, but it was not enough to save the circuit.
The track even made its way into cinema history, the 1969 movie The Italian Job filmed scenes on the start line and in the paddock, including the iconic line “You were only supposed to blow the bloody doors off!”
The can design reflects this rich history, featuring the Crystal Palace transmitter tower and the iconic cast iron and glass Crystal Palace Exhibition Hall, destroyed by fire in 1936 and never rebuilt.
Today it lives on in memory and now, in our stout. Smooth, bold and built for chill, Crystal Palace Nitro Stout is a nod to history and a toast to the future of beer.

Introducing Crystal Palace, Westbrooks Brewery's brand-new NITRO low-carb stout. Creamy, dreamy, and light on the carbs! We've taken our classic dry London stout and made it even better by adding nitrogen, giving it that signature smooth, velvety mouthfeel and a luxurious foam head.
At just 3g of carbs per can, 4.9% ABV, and completely gluten-free, Crystal Palace is possibly the lowest-carb stout in the world, so you can indulge in bold flavour without the compromise. Expect layers of rich chocolate, roasted coffee, and a hint of chimney smoke, all wrapped up in that distinctive nitro vibe.
